Many youths are strugeling to find their identity and end up "joining" some social clique as they try to "fit in" or be acepted by some while they explore being individuals. For some reason these social cliques often seem to fight with each other, I think this is mostly an effort to re-enforce the differances between the social cliques as the members are useing those differances to explore their own identities. At some point most poeple kinda figure out the basics of who they are and seem to spend their time on other things.

All of these draw steriotypes for me, and I think that is normal, but we should try to to judge others based on these labels, or at least try to never hate a stranger based on them.

The majority of it seems to have come from a report by Margaret Murray, published in the early 1930s, the majority of which has now been discredited. (Not all. But most of it). She was an Egyptologist at around the same time as Howard Carter, and there is an opinion that she rushed out her thesis without checking any of it made sense or used proper evidence... well, because of a certain amount of jealousy. She also wasn't taken seriously because she was a woman. However, her ideas seem to have lasted a lot longer in general opinion that they've been taken seriously historically.

2006-06-15 [~*Astarte*~]: I believe movies, documentaries, etc. can only brainwash one if one allows them to do so... I believe they can open our eyes, ears, minds and hearts to subjects we either haven't thought about before (or thought much about) or to subjects we've become desensitized to.
2006-06-15 [~*Astarte*~]: Educatiing one's self about a subject matter doesn't mean that one will agree with or support everything one sees or hears... It simply means giving one's self more information to be exposed to so that in the end, one can make a well-informed decision about those subject matters that one feels passionate about.

He has a very strong bias, so don't take it with out thinking, but one should never do that anyway.In Bowling for Columbine he takes a kid in a wheel chair who was shot and still had bullets in his body on a field trip. He takes the kid to Kmarts trying to return the bullets.

Since you have blocked me in messages I'm not going to make any further effort to communicate this to you. Talking about killing people on this wiki is not allowed at all. Your mean, attidude is was never welcome here. Please stop now. // Yes, it was supposed to seem excessive, but what was more dishusting? Takeing the kid to Kmart, or some asshole having easy access to inexpensive over the counter killing tools and then useing them to accidentaly destroy a young strangers ability to walk. That move almost single handedly caused enough stir up to get Kmart to stop selling bullets. I think that is a huge victory.
2006-06-16 [zoloftzantac]: You may not like Micheal Moore, but he is a non-violent radical who is very close to my heart. His movies may disgust you, but much like myself, much of the world disgusts him, and he is doing someting about it without killing abortion doctors or suicide bombing. Charlton Heston is a public figure who is a very outspoken supporter of the NRA, he has fought against every gun control law ever and held nearby big pro-gun ralleys after a few school shootings right before the movie was made. If one will fight so strongly against *any* gun control then shouldn't they be made to look at the harm that lack of gun control cuases?

I read the hate-filled message from [RabidSphinx] to [BlindGuardian] this morning and was so sad to see such pure hatred and hurt in a wiki comment. As you know, I am a very tolerant person, and do really try to understand other's viewpoints - *sigh*...
